Hope for Peace

We believe no one should suffer in silence. Music offers a lifeline of connection and calm in moments of crisis.

Heal Through Music

Instruments, lessons, and songwriting journals placed directly in mental health facilities where they're needed most.

Help Those in Need

From $10,000 grants for music therapy programs to donated guitars — we make healing accessible.

Our Story

Music Heals Minds was founded in 2019 after the passing of 22-year-old musician Julius "Cole" Rassin. Cole struggled with schizoaffective disorder but never found the therapeutic outlet he desperately needed.

From that void, his friend Hannah Laham and Cole's mother Mary embarked on a mission: ensure others like Cole could find healing through music. What began with collecting instruments for facilities in Wilmington, NC has grown into a movement spanning two states.

Today, we've donated hundreds of instruments, launched a $20,000 grant program for music therapy integration, and partnered with organizations bringing professional music therapists into mental health care.
